Jezabels Hurt Me

I’ve been hearing a song on triple J a lot lately and there’s something deeply catchy and affecting about the piano riff in it. I soon discover it’s a song called Hurt Me released on an EP last year by a band who’ve been unearthed on triple J but have also been making waves across the blogosphere for some time. Always with the missing of good Aussie music, I am!
The Jezabels liken themselves to Sarah Blasko, Arcade Fire and Cyndi Lauper, but I think they sound more like PJ Harvey crossed with Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
The Jezabels play the Metro theatre June 19.
